Overview

Dulux Weathershield Smooth Masonry paint offers protection to your exterior walls in all weathers. It has been tested under the harshest of weather conditions and its quick-drying formula means it’ll be rainproof in just 30 minutes, which makes planning the job so much easier. This paint is formulated with a unique high-performance acrylic resin that provides protection against all types of extreme weather conditions for up to 15 years. Dulux's unique Stay Clean technology, protects against dirt and mould growth and provides long lasting colour and finish.

Preparation

Stir the paint thoroughly before you start to ensure an even distribution. We strongly advise you to test a small are before beginning, to ensure that you're happy with the colour and finish.

Remove loose or flaking material and make sure surfaces to be painted are clean and dry, with no dirt, grease or flaking paint. Areas affected by mould, lichen, algae or moss should be treated with .
Surfaces that are still chalking or powdery after prepping should be sealed with a primer, to provide a stable substrate for the paint.
Defects should be repaired prior to painting, using an exterior filler.

Application

Only apply in dry conditions, above 10°C and when bad weather is not forecast. Stir the paint thoroughly before you start to ensure an even distribution. We strongly advise you to test a small are before beginning, to ensure that you're happy with the colour and finish.

Ensure the wall is dry before applying the paint.
Apply 2 coats using a suitable brush or masonry roller.
Leave 4 hours between coats.
If you're using more than 1 can of Weathershield Masonry Paint, it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container, or finish in a corner before starting a new can.
Do not use on common or Fletton bricks.
