Overview

Dulux Weathershield Preservative Primer Plus seals new and bare exterior wood, protecting it from staining. It penetrates deep into the wood to protect it against decay and blue stain fungi. It also seals the surface to protect it from water damage. You can use this clear preservative primer on all types of bare wood. It's guaranteed to provide 10 years weather shield when used with Dulux Weathershield exterior paints.

Preparation

Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from any surface coating, mould, algae, fungi or lichen.

Application

Shake the container before use, to mix the contents. Do not thin

Pour out a sufficient amount for the job into a suitable container
Apply two coats with a brush
Leave the first coat to sink in before applying the second, but make sure you reapply before the first coat is fully dry. This is typically between 2-6 hours from the first coat
Leave 16 hours for the second coat to dry
Finish with an Weathershield Exterior paint to get the maximum benefit. Use as directed
