Dulux Weathershield Multi Surface Quick Dry Satin outdoor paint is a versatile, water-based finish that can be used on exterior wood, metal and uPVC and guarantees 6 year weather protection. The weatherproof paint film is mould resistant to minimise staining and flexible to help stop cracking. This keeps your paintwork looking better for longer compared to conventional Dulux paints. There's no need to apply a primer with Weathershield Multisurface, unless wood is new and bare, and you can use it to paint your uPVC windows and doors. An effective and economical way of freshening up tired looking white doors and giving them a whole new look.

Preparation

Before using Dulux Weathershield Multi-Surface Satin, make sure all surfaces to be painted are clean and dry with no dirt, grease, rust or flaking paint.

• Mould, algae or fungi should be treated with an appropriate fungicidal wash.
• Remove rust from metal surfaces with a rust remover.
• Allow new galvanised surfaces to weather for six months before application.
• To ensure 6 year weather protection, prepare new bare wood with , wiping off any excess.
• Surface defects should be repaired using the appropriate Polycell product.
• Apply direct to clean uPVC substrate.

Application

Stir the paint thoroughly before you start to ensure even distribution. We strongly advise you to test a small are before beginning, to ensure that you're happy with the finish

• Apply the Weathershield with a decent synthetic bristle brush, in dry conditions only, above 10°C and when bad weather is not forecast.
• The use of light colours only, particularly on south facing areas, is recommended to avoid heat from the sun from damaging the uPVC.

Aftercare & Storage

Ensure that the lid is kept firmly closed at all times and store the paint in a dry environment, avoiding extremes of temperature
