Overview
Quick drying Dulux Trade Metalshield Gloss is specially formulated for both ferrous and non ferrous metals including railings, staircases, lift shafts, garage doors and emergency exits. Can be overcoated in 4-6 hours. It provides lasting protection against corrosion. Applying Dulux Trade's straightforward, single-pack system: an appropriate Metalshield primer from Dulux Trade 2 coats of Metalshield Gloss will give up to 8 years metal protection.

Tinted Colour Information
Tinted paint is custom mixed in house at Next Day Paint using our Dulux tinting machine. We mix the paint on site, which means we can offer our usual fast delivery with no extra delay. Tinted Colour Match paints can't be cancelled or returned as they are tinted to order.Area | Interior & Exterior |

Preparation
For best results, ensure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry. New surfaces particularly must be fully dry and free from all defective or poorly adhering material such as dirt, grease or wax.
- Prime new or bare surfaces with an appropriate Metalshield primer from Dulux Trade such as .
- Thoroughly rub down previously painted surfaces, using ‘wet flatting’ methods where possible, then wipe off with a damp, lint free cloth.
- Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Application
We recommend testing a small area before painting the entire surface to ensure compatibility.
- Apply with a brush or roller only. Do not spray, for health and safety reasons relating to solvent based paints.
- Apply 1 coat of the appropriate followed by 2 coats of Metalshield Gloss.
- Where a special process colour is to be used, or where a strong colour change is required, additional coats will be needed.
